ICE Joins SHIEC - The Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative

Securing the Future of Healthcare Interoperability

San Diego, California – ICE Cybersecurity announced today their support of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) by being accepted as Strategic Business & Technology (SB&T) member. ICE Cybersecurity will be an exhibitor and participant at SHIEC’s upcoming annual conference August 18th – 21st in Maryland.

Interoperability “really is about being able to do something now that you couldn't do before, because you have the data in a format that allows you to make that happen” says the CEO of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Doug Fridsma

“Cybersecurity is part of the common language spoken by all the players in the Healthcare Interoperability conversation. Healthcare’s increasing dependence on technology to keep people safe makes cybersecurity more needed than ever. With our industry experience and focus, it’s exciting to be able to make a real difference” says ICE Cybersecurity CEO Ford Winslow.

ICE Cybersecurity is excited to help actively shape the global Healthcare Data Interoperability standards. SHIEC and ICE’s common mission is to help accelerate healthcare’s digital transformation by providing a common security foundation for these companies whose mission is to help people.

About the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC)

SHIEC allows HIEs to work together across the country to elevate the conversation about HIE’s common needs and their collective successes. IT provides a forum for HIEs to work together, share best practices and together identify joint solutions to address their needs. SHIEC is a national collaborative representing health information exchanges (HIEs). The organization already represents 70+ HIEs, and these HIEs collectively cover more than 200 million people across the U.S., well over half of the American population.
